Graphic Humor in the Bible Slavery in Germany

Undoubtedly one of the darkest chapters in the long history of man is slavery.

The fact that another human being could belong to you, be a property, such as a house or a dog was widely accepted in ancient times in history when slavery was seen as completely normal and people are turned into mere commodities and be their fate.

However, as much as us with our mentality of citizens of the XXI century we reject slavery in ancient times, we must recognize that at least this was exempt from the racist aspect that European countries gave the eighteenth-century slavery XIX.

Although slavery today it may seem somewhat remote, we must not get carried away by this feeling as just 120 years ago slavery was officially abolished, that informal still ongoing, the last country to abolish slavery was Brazil in 1888.

However, on slavery can treat a multitude of issues and approach the issue from many points of view, but in today's post I wanted to do it from a somewhat unprecedented and certainly not without controversy, in a nutshell:

How God saw slavery?

readers
Well if that is the question, what do you think that man's long white beard and spotless robe over the thorny issue of slavery.

And to answer it any better to go to God's instruction manual, book also known in some circles as a Bible.

arriving married, your wife will go with him. If the master gives the slave woman, as she is owned by the master, the master will also be the son or daughter who has her slave. So the slave will go alone.

If the slave gets to declare: "I do not want to regain my freedom, because I have I love my master, my wife and my children ", the master will appear before the judges, [a] then take you to a door or the doorframe, and there shall bore his ear with an awl .

Thus the slave will stay forever with your love.

So Jesus went with them. Not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say

"Lord, do not take so much trouble because I do not deserve to come under my roof. So I do not even dare to come to you. But with a single word you say, my servant will be healed. I myself obey superior orders, and also I have soldiers under my authority. I tell you: "Go", and goes, and to another, 'Come, come and go. I tell my servant, 'Do this, and it does.
Upon hearing this, Jesus was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said:
